2 Small Canals, Main Channel and Marina are excavated, 150 feet need to be dredged into the sea for easy access to main Channel.

Cerro Maya's location on the shores of Chetumal Bay provides, from the site, a beautiful panorama of the surrounding region. The New River empties into the Bay southwest of the site. This river supports a variety of wildlife including water birds, crocodiles and manatee. The proximity of the New River provided an important link with the other major Mayan site of the PreClassic Period, Lamanai.

The Original Proposed Subdivision Plan and pricing for Approximately 50 lots on Phase 1 which is approximately 15 acres. Phase 2 which is about 20 acres can yield another 40-45 lots depending on the design.
